Introduction

Welcome to ‘Sound On, Vision On’ —  a CD-ROM to celebrate 75 years of the BBC.
‘Help’ offers guidelines on how to use the CD-ROM. ‘Help’ is accessed only from the main screen — the Globe — which forms the central navigation. 

Quick Start

To choose a decade, return to the Globe and either click on a year in the revolving ring, or above the Globe as it changes through from the 1920s to the 1990s.
This brings you to the decade screen of your choice. Don’t click, just roll the mouse 
over the screen to evoke the rollovers. When the cursor changes — say to a television 
set  —  click the mouse, and you will see Television in your chosen decade. 
To bring up the Control Bar, with a menu of programmes, roll the mouse down to the bottom of the screen. 

Quick Exit

You can return to the main screen from anywhere in the CD-ROM by clicking on the Globe icon in the top right hand corner, or, from here, by clicking the Back button.
